Kensington Arts Theatre presents "The Fantastics"
The production of "The Fantasticks" runs from May 12 to May 27 in the Kensington Town Hall. An allegorical story, concerning two neighboring fathers who trick their children into falling in love by pretending to feud. When the children discover the deception, they reject the arranged love match and separate.

KTown Paper Airplane Day
Join the fun on Saturday, May 21 at St. Paul Park from 1-3pm for KTown's first Paper Airplane Day! All materials and instruction will be provided for kids to design and fly their own airplanes. Contests will include distance, accuracy and design. Prizes will be awarded to winner by age groupings. Food, music, community and business displays will add to an afternoon of family fun! Summer Concert Series
The Kensington Historical Society is pleased to present a series of free concerts, featuring a different band every week through September 30, 2017. The concerts are held in the Howard Avenue Park across from the Kensington Train Station, from 10-11am. Look for the mobile website in February 2017 which will also include the Kensington Walking Tours.

A zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical styles of the English music hall of the '30s. Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one they're picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit. This production will run from June 9 to June 24 in the Kensington Town Hall.

22nd Annual Children's Bike Parade
The 22 Annual Bike Parade will be held on Monday, July 4 at St. Paul Park at 10am. This event is open to all kids, and those young at heart, that wish to decorate their bike, scooter, wagon or stroller and follow a Kensington Volunteer Fire Department truck through the streets of Kensington.

50th Annual Labor Day Parade and Festival
The parade kicks off at 10am by traveling down Connecticut Avenue from St. Paul Park toward Town Hall. The parade features local marching bands, equestrian show groups, dance groups, floats and ambassadors from local churches, school, non-profits and businesses. After the parade Armory and Howard Avenues come alive with food trucks, vendors, games and activities for children of all ages.

Pumpkin Rock 'N' Roll
On October 28, Warner Circle Park in Kensington will be transformed into a full-blown Halloween extravaganza. Participate in a fun costume contest and parade, and enjoy family-friendly attractions including festival-style musical performances, food trucks, inflatable rides and slides and a rock wall. Don't miss the main event: The Pumpkin Roll, a derby race of Halloween pumpkins-turned-boxcars.
