Historic Kensington Cabin To Reopen Saturday

Montgomery County will celebrate the rehabilitation of an 84-year-old cabin in Kensington on Saturday. Kensington Cabin originally opened in October 1934 and served as a community hub, hosting meetings, plays, summer camps, birthday parties and classes until it was closed in 1991 due to failing infrastructure. It has remained closed for the past 27 years, but in 2011 was designated in the Montgomery County Master Plan for Historic Preservation.
